  4.     At a cost of half a billion dollars each, the B-2 Stealth
  5. bomber must be a lot more than "virtually" undetectable by an
  6. enemy's radar (NATION, July 31). It must be nothing less than 100%
  7. invisible. Megabucks for something that doesn't quite do what it's
  8. supposed to is a huge minus for the national wallet.

  13.     There is only one way to make sure that the B-2 Stealth bomber
  14. can remain totally invisible to the Soviets at an acceptable cost
  15. to the U.S. taxpayer: cancel this program -- now!

  20.     Congressional critics condemn the Stealth bomber as too
  21. expensive. What are they considering as a cheaper alternative --
  22. disposable bombers with throwaway flight crews? In the final
  23. analysis, the most economical weapon is the one that is so clearly
  24. superior that it will never have to be used.
